recipe review

I have been trying to cut out diary and gluten over the last year after sensitivities were spotted by my doctor. It is SO hard to cut those out with kids. I could easily survive on grilled cheese scraps and leftovers. Eating sandwich crust is my jam.

The internet has tons of recipes, but I love a good cookbook. Danielle Walker’s cookbooks are always on hand in my kitchen. They make cooking gluten and diary free easier. This week I made her Moroccan Chicken Sheet-Pan Supper from “Eat What You Love.” The recipe had me at sheet-pan. One pan and one bowl for clean up…winning. We did chicken thighs because I had some, but the recipe called for drumsticks and thighs.

The flavors in this recipe were outside my normal flavor profiles, but that is the best part of trying new recipes. This was heavy on the spices and all ingredients you probably have. Dried parsley, cumin, cinnamon, paprika, turmeric, ginger.

We added a little more cayenne pepper by mistake, I had some helpers in the kitchen. This recipe was a keeper and delicious. It was beautiful too, I would cook this for guests or an occasion. We LOVED it!

I did not include the recipe, because it’s not mine and I couldn’t find it on Danielle’s website. Next time, I will try and find a recipe that is also online. This recipe is worth a trip to your library if you don’t own the cookbook.
