Bunny House

Spring seems to be taking forever to arrive and waiting is hard. I am sure I feel this way every year, but we are anxious for longer warmer days outside. We have been keeping busy in the kitchen.

This week we made little bunny houses out of graham crackers and decorated them with Easter candy.

I warmed up the white chocolate in a double boiler and used it as glue to build the houses. This was a little tricky for the kids. The houses kept flopping over and they were just licking chocolate. It was a hilarious mess and the dog was on cleanup duty. I might assemble the houses without the kids next time. Once the houses are together put them in the fridge to harden for 30 minutes.

When the chocolate is hard let the decorating begin. To get the candies to stick we used store bought frosting. I thought I would make my own, but who are we kidding.

We managed not to eat all the candy and the kids had a blast. I would do this again next year or for another craft. Happy snacking or crafting.
