Frozen Treat

We do dessert most nights. I like drawing out our time at the table, when people aren’t falling apart. Dessert doesn’t depend on what has been eaten, it’s more another layer of the meal. It could be a frozen treat, fruit and cheese, five chocolate chips, or yogurt with honey. I saw this frozen yogurt bark on Weelicious and we have been making our own versions ever since.

Fruit and chocolate candies are some of our favorite ingredients.

We added two teaspoons of local honey, a handful of raspberries and mixed it all up. For this version we smashed up our berries in the yogurt and honey to make it pink. We started out with a lot more raspberries but the kids couldn’t stop eating them. I might have had a few too.

Once it is mixed up spread an even layer onto your cookie sheet. I use a Silpat. It works great for lifting the bark up and less waste.

We used our favorite chocolate candies and blueberries to sprinkle all over the top. The kids were very helpful when it came time to the candy. The final step is to pop it into the freezer until it hardens up.
